Value

1. Value in art means a lot. Value is needed in many art pieces. Value creates the shadows and dimension needed and without that it would be hard to tell what the artist was trying to show or create. 2. Without value you wouldn't be able to tell what the texture is. 3. Scribble hatching, cross hatching, shading, dotting and out lining. 4. You build value by making the shadow darker or lighter depending on what the shadows for. 5. We see value everyday in shadows. Shadows are the main way people notice shadows.We can see value better when squinting.
